A Spectacular Vintage Couture Ball Room Evening Dress

There are not many times as a vintage clothing dealer that you come across spectacular pieces, at least not every day. Yes, there are fabulous pieces that we all have in our inventory, our closets, etc., but once in a blue moon do we run across a spectacular piece!

While visiting an estate sale and rambling through the closets of items from days gone by, actually decades, I ran across this fabulous vintage 50's ball room gown. All I could think of on my drive home is, what a beauty!  The label was so far hidden down in the skirt of the dress on a seam that I did not find it before purchasing it.  Once I arrived home and found the label, The Liberty Shop, New Orleans, Louisiana, I immediately began my research.

Much to my surprise there was little information to be found!  A few newspapers articles and a recently sold dress carrying the same label from the small couture house in New Orleans.  After studying and inquiring for several months I now have it listed and ready for a new owner.  Whether you have a Mardi Gras Ball, Presidential Ball, or whatever other formal event this vintage dress is exquisite!
