Specialist Auctions Antique Clothing and Accessories has what you want!

One of the most exciting things to happen in the Vintage and Antique Sewing and Clothing section at Specialist Auctions recently is the expansion of the antique clothing section. We have several sellers that specialize in the antique time periods as well as the 1920s and 1930s. We also have a new moderator, Kelly Griffin, who moderates the antique clothing and accessories category. The periods that Kelly is passionate about are the Georgian through to the Edwardian, although she does still enjoy later pieces.

Besides moderating the antique clothing and accessories category, Kelly also owns the store
Rupert and Toby's Collectables.

In addition we also have new seller, MMMoonchild/Hollywood Hats Vintage, who also specializes in Pre-1901 (Victorian & Older), and Pre-1920 (Edwardian & Older) clothing and accessories as well as later eras.

Not to be forgotten is Bonnie & Clyde's Treasure Trove, whose inventory spans the early 19th century to the late 20th century.

And last but not least we have our newest store, Kickshaw. This store will be selling primarily vintage and antique clothing to benefit The Fashion History Museum in Cambridge, Ontario. This museum will open in a temporary gallery space the autumn of 2008 on Main street in the old town of Galt, now part of the larger city of Cambridge. The museum is currently looking for a permanent location to house its collection of over 6,000 clothing artifacts dating from the mid 17th century to the present day. Purchases and donations deemed not suitable for the permanent collection of the museum are sold to support the museum and its mandate: To be a vibrant, high calibre institution of international importance, for the study and display of historic fashions.
